Product Detail

The Lowell Unihorn LUH-15TX is an economical general signaling horn perfect for paging and general voice communications at 25V, 70V, 100V, or 8 ohm. This ready-to-install re-entrant horn comes with a weather-resistant housing, allowing for versatile and labor-saving installation in various settings like brick, concrete block, plaster, drywall, or acoustic tile, whether indoors or outdoors, recessed or surface-mounted, for new or retrofit applications. Key features include a 15W driver, a screwdriver-adjustable transformer (25V/70V/100V) with an 8 ohm bypass input, an aluminum housing with a moisture-seal cover for easy two-wire hook-up to the pigtail or through a waterproof gland-type cable fitting. It has a Network Grey finish. For retrofit, it can accept an EIA standard grille for an 8-inch speaker while keeping the UL Listing valid. Technical specs show it complies with UL1480A general signaling (USA), UL2043 for use in return air plenum space (USA), and CSA C22.2 No. 205 - 12 general signaling (Canada).

Using the Lowell Unihorn LUH-15TX is straightforward. First, decide on the installation location - it can be indoors or outdoors, recessed or surface-mounted. Make sure to choose a place that is suitable for the brick, concrete block, plaster, drywall, or acoustic tile you're working with. For the electrical connection, you can do a simple two - wire hook - up to the pigtail or use the waterproof gland - type cable fitting as shown in the instruction sheet. Adjust the transformer using a screwdriver to the desired voltage (25V, 70V, or 100V) or use the 8 - ohm bypass input. When it comes to retrofit applications, you can easily attach an EIA standard grille for an 8 - inch speaker. As for maintenance, regularly check the moisture - seal cover on the aluminum housing to ensure it's intact. Keep the horn clean from dust and debris. If you notice any issues with the sound quality or electrical connections, refer to the instruction sheet or contact customer support. Also, always follow the safety guidelines related to the UL and CSA certifications when using the horn.
